Galatians 2:20

This past weekend I had the privilege of attending a PCA (Presbyterian Churches of America) retreat out in Hueston Woods, Ohio (on the border of Indiana).

It was one of those retreats that was unexpectedly amazing, deeply convicting, and profound. What God spoke to me on Saturday was exactly what I needed to hear. He gave me grace to receive it.

Our memory verse for the weekend was from Galatians 2:20:
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
If there was one verse I needed to hear this weekend, it was that one.

Die, Chris, die...that's the gospel. And that is what God is calling me to do. Die to myself and my selfish desires. And come and live the life by faith in Jesus Christ.

All I lay down.
All I must submit to.
All I must not do
All I must do.
All I must obey.
All I must resist.
All I must go after.
All and all.

"Christ is all, and is in all." (Colossians 3:11)
