Home Sweet Home

Wednesday, March 08, 2006 by Christopher Wu

I am home...I am well and I am home...praise the Lord...I am home.

This should be a psalm of some sort.

When I walked into my kitchen I hugged my refrigerator.
It's the simple things in life...

Still recovering from the long road tour.

Thanks so much for praying y'all. I love you all...

Good night.

Life on the road

Sunday, March 05, 2006 by Christopher Wu

Missouri.

Tonight we ate at a really cool restaurant called "Lambert's Cafe-The Only Home of the Throwed Roll" Yes, you read that right. "Throwed Roll." 'What the heck is that?!', you ask? There's a guy who rolls a cart around the restaurant yelling, "Hot rolls!" and if you raise your hand and make eye contact with him he literally throws a roll at you. Yes, he throws it at you. And they're PIPING HOT!

It was quite comical when Amy signaled for one and when the roll came flying to her, her pinky went right through the middle of it and she yelled "OW! My pinky!" That was hilarious.

It was REALLY good food, but OH MY GOODNESS we stuffed ourselves WAY too much. It was a buffet-like place, so with any entree you ordered, you could eat as much as you want of it, so long as you didn't share it with anyone else. Otherwise you paid a $7.99 additional fee for an extra dish. I was tempted to get another Barbecue Pork Steak but oh man...I would've literally exploded.

Tour life has been long and adventurous. It's time to go home! I never thought I would say it, but I'm beginning to miss Indiana!

I can't wait to get bck to my own bed, in my own apartment, kicking back in my own couch and just vegetating for about three days straight. Wait, rather, sleeping for three days straight.

We're each getting to the point of being sick of being on the road. We're eager to get back and are coming to the point where we're getting a little edgy around each other and if we're on the road any longer, sparks are gonna fly.

Thanks for praying everybody. It's been tough at times but the Lord has been keeping our team in good spirits and keeping us patient as well!

We should be arriving home by about 6 or 7p.m. tomorrow night. Lord, lead me home. Good night everybody. Happy Oscars!
